The Special Events Ministry
of
New Haven Christian Church
The Special Events Ministry is responsible for the coordination, planning, over all design; image and details related to most all events that take place during the calendar year at New Haven. We provide visual and aesthetic images creating resources for all ministry areas through advance planning, research, consultation, coordination and implementation.
Special Events is made up of many areas and many volunteers. These areas are overseen by lay leadership and include Costuming, Costume Design, Sewing, Theatrical Make-up, Hostesses, Ticket Sales & Event Registration, Construction of Sets, Creation of Props, Set Painting, Loading & Unloading of trucks, Decorating, Flower Arranging, Inventory, Set Up, Tear Down and Office Help. Volunteers are needed in every area, so there are plenty of places to serve.
New Haven's Event Ministry supports our Seasonal Productions as well as our community wide Vacation Bible School, Annual Children's Music Programs, Harvest Festival, Global Missions Conference, Men's & Women's Conferences, Student Dinner Theatre and many other small and large ministry events within the calendar year. Many people are needed to help in the enormous and varied areas of ministry from sewing a Victorian Costume to creating and cutting out props or arranging flowers to decorating fun things for each event these things are involved in any given church wide event, reception and conference. You never know what will be awaiting you when you arrive to work on an event at New Haven. Just know we are always working on something interesting and exciting!!
Often times it is overwhelming with so many projects sent our way. How do we manage to get it all done you ask? By having people like you plug into our area of ministry. You are needed!! There is much to do. Getting it done can sometimes be tremendous but we have learned to walk in faith, listening for guidance from the Lord, staying in tune with His direction and relying solely on Him. God then rewards us supernaturally by multiplying our time, our rest and our efforts. Each event is evident of God's faithfulness and His grace to answered prayers. If we are available He is able to do exceedingly abundant work through us.
Events are such a great encouragement to all those attending, when it is all said and done the attendees cannot believe how well everything is done, how very awesome our projects turn out and how well God's design and plan is carried out. It is so very evident in each and every event held at New Haven. We strive to create an experience for attendee that is God honoring, new, and unexpected. Our staff will constantly strive to delight its guest by delivering an unparalleledeventfull of surprises, but executed with detail, precision and excellence. The Event Ministry plays a central role to ensure expectations are not only met, but are exceeded from the beginning until the conclusion of the event.
